About Dr Niyati Sharma
Dr Niyati Sharma (MBBS | FACD | MPH) is a qualified Dermatologist and is a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. She is also a consultant dermatologist at the Box Hill Hospital, and the Monash Medical Centre. She is also the founder of Inside Out Dermatology.
Raised in Melbourne, Dr Sharma undertook her undergraduate medical degree (MBBS) at Adelaide University before coming back to Melbourne to undertake her internship at Royal Melbourne Hospital. After a few years of working in different parts of Australia, including remote areas, she decided to specialise in Dermatology.
As part of her 4 year post graduate training, Dr Sharma spent one year in Singapore at the National Skin Centre learning the nuances of treating Asian skin and their diseases. After finishing her Dermatology fellowship exams (FACD), Dr Sharma undertook a sub-speciality fellowship at Ann & Robert Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago in paediatric dermatology. This institution is a world leader in treating children’s skin diseases. Dr Sharma worked under the guidance of Professor Mancini and Professor Amy Paller, two prominent figures in dermatology.
Dr Sharma has also undertaken her Masters of Public Health (MPH), specialising in nutrition, policy and advocacy, at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA. Dr Sharma opened Inside Out Dermatology to help patients approach their skin diseases in a wholistic manner.
Awards
Dr Sharma was awarded an Eddington Scholarship, which enabled her to travel to St Johns Institute of Dermatology, UK a world-renowned paediatric dermatology centre. Later she was awarded the Florence Bequest and the Endeavour Executive Fellowship Award undertaking clinical fellowship in Chicago at Ann Lurie Children’s Hospital (Northwestern University) in paediatric dermatology.
Publications
Dr Sharma is a published author in international dermatology literature including the Australasian Journal of Dermatology and has presented her research at dermatological conferences. She has also part of the expert group panel for the Dermatology Therapeutic Guidelines book.

Nurse
Celine is a trained nurse and a certified melanographer. She has been working both as a trainer and melanographer with MoleMap for the last 5 years doing skin checks and helping diagnose melanomas. Her role at at Inside Out Dermatology where she is worked since 2021 is helping dermatologist with surgical procedures as well as Celine is an expert in wart/molloscum treatment, cryotherapy, as well as in biologic treatment for psoriasis and eczema. She also works with lasers to treat Rosacea as well as pigmentation and facial rejuvenation. She is a member of the Australian Dermatology Nurses Association
Emmalese
Nurse and Melanographer
Emmalese is a trained nurse and melanographer. She has been working both as a trainer and melanographer with MoleMap for the last 3 years and now joining Inside Out Dermatology to expand her role in both undertaking skin checks as well as training in Biologics, cryotherapy and laser dermatology. She is a member of the Australian Dermatology Nurses Association
MARNIE
Nurse
Marnie Pitts achieved her Bachelor of Nursing at Deakin University in 2008. Since graduating, she has worked a variety of roles in the public health system before choosing to concentrate on Neonatal Care. Marnie completed her certificate in Cosmetic Injectable and Dermal Fillers,with Aesthetics Training Australia. From this, she was able to link her practice with Skin Science Medical Skin Clinic under the wonderful leadership of Dr Mikhail Soutorine. Dr Mikhail has over 30 years of experience in Cosmetic Medicine. He leads a team of committed nurses who strive to deliver their clients optimal results by using the safest, most effective, and current treatments available.
TAMARA
Dermal clinician
Tamara is a qualified Dermal Clinician with over 5 years of experience within the field since the completion of her studies. Her qualifications include, Diploma of Beauty Therapy, Associates Degree in Applied Health Science and a Bachelor in Applied Health Science (Clinical Aesthetics). Tamara’s aim is to ensure everyone feels their best and is able to gain confidence within their own skin. With a keen understanding that no skin is the same, this ensures that each patient requires and receives a personalised approach from Tamara’s treatments and treatment plans. Tamara educates her patients throughout their skin journey in order to both enhance and achieve the most effective outcome possible.

Practice Manager and Nurse
Karen has been in the field of dermatology for over 22 years as a nurse and is trained in all aspects of dermatology including Biologics, Cryotherapy and Laser treatment. She is dedicated in providing the best in nursing care and practice management. She is a member of the Australian Dermatology Nurses Association.

Val is our wonderful medical receptionist and been in the space of dermatology for the last 15 years. She comes with a wealth of knowledge and happy to help you with any aspects of your appointment.

Jess recently joined the field of Dermatology after working many years in the laser aesthetics. She is dedicated to providing you with the best of care and always brings her smile to work. She is also currently studying part-time to become a nurse.
