Laser we have: Cutera Excel V + (532nm and 1064nm) & Laser Genesis & IPL (Intense Pulse Light)
What does it treat:
- general facial redness including Rosacea
- reticular and spider leg veins
- telangiectasia (broken blood vessels) especially around the nose
- benign pigmented (brown) skin lesions
- cherry angiomas
- Birthmarks such as port wine stains (a Medicare rebate is available)
- Spider naevi aka liver spots.
What should I expect?
The laser is non invasive treatment, targeting the red blood vessel. The procedure is slightly painful and has a downtime of up to 24 to 48hrs. We will carefully guide you regarding this treatment and generally its well tolerated and shows great results.
Alternatively we have Laser genesis, which is a non-invasive treatment that allows for skin rejuvenation and to add a little “glow” with little to no downtime. It is suitable for all skin types. Laser Genesis delivers micro-pulses of laser energy to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and diminish the signs of aging such as facial redness and brown spots. The result is a glowing, #cameraready complexion.
How many treatments will I need?
Depending on your skin concern we usually recommend 2-3 sessions, around 4-6 weeks apart but our team will monitor this with regular photos.
What is the cost of the procedure?
The cost is tailored to your needs however generally a small area of treatment is around $150, half a face is $350 and full face is $450. The cost will vary especially if you are eligible for a Medicare rebate and is best to ask our wonderful laser staff for the full cost of your procedure.
What conditions do I get a Medicare rebate for?
For certain conditions treated by a laser dermatologist, you are eligible to get a Medicare rebate such as for any birthmarks, or vascular lesions. Please enquire with your dermatologist to find out if your are eligible for a rebate. If so you will get $140 approximately off each treatment for up to 4 treatments a year.
